February Reads/Listens

In February, I managed to read a total of 8 books and am currently in the process of slowly finishing the 9th. The windy, icy, cold weather here at “The Roost” really made it easy to stay indoors. I took full advantage of my time by listening while dying and pounding leather for R.Riveter, experimenting with new recipes, and starting seeds for this year’s garden.

As you know, I prefer listening to audiobooks over physically reading traditional books. Yes I’m still reading the BIBLE and reflecting spiritually, but audiobooks allow me to multitask and get so much done same time.

During February, I pretty much stuck to mystery thrillers like “Daughter of Mine” , “House of Glass” and “The Wife Upstairs” but did add a historical fiction in there “The Diamond Eye” and a 2-hour audiobook "Small Things Like These."

Maybe next month, I may considering diving into the world of self-help books and maybe learn a little about myself. Maybe not, but if you have a good “self help” book you think I would like, send it my way, leave me a note in my guest book

Happy reading~

Hey, I’m Jenn, semi-retired military spouse, mom of four and a NYer turned OKie. After 30 years of moving and starting from scratch, my husband, soldier, Dennis and I decided Oklahoma was our last stop. We built our forever home, “The Roost” here in SW Oklahoma.

When I’m not out running, leather working, volunteering or with the chickens, yes, a new thing for me, I’m in the garden. I love to learn and experiment how to grow here in SW Oklahoma. My favorite part is to bring the garden to the table.

I’m so glad you guys are here! We can all learn, share and “Grow” together through this journey.
